Bananas and oats are great ingredients for your skin, and after you have had an extremely long week, your skin is fatigued and could definitely use a boost. The last thing you want is to have to go through a long routine or the salon to fix your tired skin. This is where the DIY homemade recipe comes into play.

This is home made beauty product is half an exfoliating face scrub and half a soothing face mask. When you put the mask on you rub the banana, oat and honey mix into your skin for a few minutes, during this time the oats gently rub off all the dry, dead skin cells from your face, so that it becomes wonderful clean and amazingly smooth. Once it’s nicely rubbed in you then leave the mask on for about an hour, the mask is pretty much clear by this time as the oats have all been rubbed off so it’s primarily banana and honey, which together are incredibly soothing. By the time you wash the mask off you’ll be seriously glowing!

Rolled oats, honey & bananas face mask recipe
1 ripe banana
3 tsp rolled oats
2 tsp honey
2 tsp milk
Slice up the ripe banana and mash it up with a fork or spoon until it becomes a smooth paste in a bowl. Add rolled oats, milk and honey, and continue to mix until creamy.
Tip: Use your hands, instead of doing it in a blender as it will become runny and will slide off your face!
Massage the paste onto your face and leave on between 15 minutes to up to an hour. Rinse with warm water.
If you don’t have all the ingredients listed, you can just use banana pulp and massage it all over your face.
